Thank you so much everyone for all your kind comments!! It has been such a great day to first find out about the POTD and then to get comments from friends all day long. Very special.

Well waterfalls are certainly not my specialty. In fact on this day I was camping next to the river and went out especially to try and make the slow shutter thing work. My waterfalls hadn't turned that great before this day of experimentation. But it's great to be at the right place and have lots of time to experiment.

For those who asked, the water was moving at a medium speed I guess. It wasn't trickling and it wasn't gushing down either. It is f/22 at 2.5seconds. I used my new 24-105 f/4L lens. My first L lens. It actually had a bit of a bright spot at the bottom of the falls that I had to fix. It took many attempts and much feedback from my masterpiece friends to fix it.

Thank you again for all your warm words, it really means a lot to me. I went around singing "photo of the day" all day :))) #9026922
