Description

Loch Na Stainge, Glencoe, Scotland

A cloud dappled sky below which fingers of golden light unstretch and caress the delicate frozen grasses at the edge of Loch Na Stainge. As the air clears and the clouds begin to clear a drop in temperature causes a thin skin of ice to develop. I watched it grow around the stems of grass and lazily spread out over the heavy still water. Blue and gold is one of my favourite combinations of complementary colours conveying both chill and warmth simultaneously. One of my favourite shots that I took last year.
