Here I Come

Uploaded: September 30, 2010

Description

This bull bison was photographed in Yellowstone National Park. It was not actually coming for me, but had just come over the hilltop to check on another bull that had invaded his territory. I took this just after sunrise with a 400mm telephoto lens mounted on a tripod. This bull did start to come after the other bull, which quickly left. (Minor adjustments made with Photoshop CS3 software.)

Wonderful capture Ted. The light and exposure to bring out the detail in his face is excellent. Sure looks like he was checking you out. #1313016

Perfect lighting and wonderful, warm light! It can be hard to bring out all the details in their dark fur, but you did it. #8938445

My goodness, TED! It looks like he was charging you!! Marvelous POV and fabulous capture of this guy. The details and clarity on his fur are terrific - they are so hard to do well b/c they are so dark but you have nailed it! #8947785
