WOW!!! Impact, impact, impact! Incredible capture Deborah! Where was this taken? #1313277Deborah C. Lewinson October 01, 2010
Thanks so much, Cindy! This was taken at Merrill Creek Reservoir, in NJ. Every year there are usually tens of thousands of snow geese that stop there during the winter. There's an eagle nest in the area, and when they all take off like this, an eagle probably spooked them.Debby #8940985

WOW and WOW again, Debby! Just went into my favorites. I thought this must have been at Bosque del Apache, but you have this in NJ, too? Marvelous capture, superbly done! I have always wanted to see and capture thousands of birds in flight like this...envy, envy... #8947831Deborah C. Lewinson November 03, 2010
Thanks, Rona! Snow geese winter in a couple of places in NJ, but the highest concentration is probably at Merrill Creek Reservoir. You can't get close to them here (taken with FL 500mm). Other places like Edgar B Forsythe NWR they are beginning to come in and are very close this year.Debby #9011599
