Annisquam Lighthouse
Uploaded: September 11, 2010
The present Annisquam lighthouse was built in 1897 to replace an earlier wooden light that had been built in 1851. (The 1st light established on this spot was built in 1801.)It is located in Annisquam Village near Gloucester, Massachusetts and remains an active aid to navigation.
On the road again tomorrow...heading to Boothbay Harbor, Maine, with several stops along the way including several lighthouses.

Breath-taking composition Jack! It looks magical! #8896865Marty Straub September 14, 2010
The check is in the mail, Jack. Please send a copy of your lighthouse book(s). This one's another great lesson in composition. Even the cloud seems to eminate from the lighthouse. Perfect to include the rock shoreline as an illustration of need for the light, and nice eye to include the triangular one pointing to the lighthouse. #8900127Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
