Description: From the archives: The Whitefish Point lighthouse is located near Paradise, Michigan, where Whitefish Bay opens into Lake Superior. It was about 16 miles off shore from here that the Edmund Fitzgerald went down, and the bell from the Fitzgerald is on display at an excellent maritime museum on the lighthouse property.
