Description

Common synonyms include the green anole, American anole and red-throated anole. It is sometimes referred to as the American chameleon due to its color-changing abilities; however, the Anole is not a true chameleon. (from Wikipedia)
Because we have such tropical weather here, we have tons of lizards around, but most are some type of brownish lizard. I rarely see these kind of lizards around so it was nice to find this one hanging around today.

Thank you so much Kitty! I went out today looking for him again but he wasn't around. I was hoping he would be so I could get some more shots. #8863867

THanks Peaches! Hmmm, out there in the country I would have thought you would have lizards. Too cold maybe? I was surprised when we first moved here at how many lizards ran across the sidewalk when we first walked up to our house. While there were lizards in North FL, there were not near so many. They are everywhere here! #8864073
