LOL after working on this image and just about finished I realised it was a low quality jpeg from a RAW file. DUH. Too tired to do it again. Pat #1299795

It's a great capture and beautiful dog. #8848274

A beautiful dog and capture Pat! There is still a place for Jpeg's in in this mad world of ours! #8849089

Graham Robards August 20, 2010

Thankyou so much Vendla, Cooper is a beautiful dog, I have quite a few more photos of him. This time I will make sure I am working on a RAW file LOL.

LOL John, you are so funny, remember when I was talking today about the typing being so slow up here?

It still hasn't aappeared on the page as yet, I can't even see if anything is there. Surely your's can't be that slow?

I'll stop and count how many seconds it takes to get on the page.

30 seconds...... and that took five seconds for five dots, now I have to go through and look for the typos.

This wasn't the photo I meant to upload either lol. It was a lighter one. Oh well.

Pat I think you did a wonderful job with this image - I was disappointed as I found my 3 week's Europe Trip Images all Jpeg - can't understand how I never checked my camera in all that time !!! still I only used to shoot Jpeg not so long ago. Jpeg/Raw is my usual choice now. - It is a little dark but it looks so dramatic !! #8853891

Graham Robards August 21, 2010

Thankyou so much Barbara! Fancy all your images were Jpeg on a Europe trip, what a shame. I sent a month overseas and my images were accidently deleted (sigh).

This wasn't the final image either, I couldn't upload the one I wanted to which was a bit lighter so I agree with you here! This one is too dark but does look dramatic lol.
Thanks for stopping by.

Pat MY KEYS have been real sluggish too, but not on BP. Just my e-mail (and google browsing)??? It's been driving me batty all week! Mine is do delayed I can type out three sentences (that I cant see yet) go do the dishes, come back and it's still not done appearing! SERIOUSLY THAT BAD!

Cute dog and when I get back from camping I want to ask you more about working in raw...Many of my images are clear and wonderful on my computer but then I upload them to the contest and they look fuzzy. I'd love to know if I am doing something wrong!

Have a great week. Love ya!

My keys are so sluggish it drives me crazy, I'm the same, I type it out then go off and do something and then it appears.

I wonder if it is this server. We have a fast speed connection, I was asking John Connolly who is on dial up how his speed goes and broadband is just as slow as dialup here LOL.

I write my posts out in outlook express now and then paste them in, even pasting takes a long time.

I get a fast speed if I am up at 4AM in the morning but who wants to get up at that hour.

It must be congestion.

Maybe your images aren't sharp enough for up here,I find I need to oversharpen them and use a layer mask where I don't want it too sharp.

What sharpening process do you use Lala?

Love Ya too!

First off, I have gmail by GOOGLE. Maybe it is getting too crowded?

It works fine for about one hour. Then gets so bad it's horrible. It might be my lap top! It's almost dead. For sharpening I use sliders provided by Canon. It's a photo program that came with my flat camera. ZoomBrowser Ex, it's called. I often unsharpen by 20/60/00.

I will take the F: Drive on my camping trip today and transfer more pick OFF of my computer this week. Maybe this will help but for me Pat, it only happens while on gmail NOT BP!!! So I tend to think it's gmail having trouble. All I know is that I am very dependent on my lap top so when it starts to act up I get VERY concerned (And I dont know much about computers so it's totally frustrating for me!)

Sweet one, have a great week! I will miss you all. Take goo care and heal more each day okay?

Many hugs!

Thankyou Lala, for some reason this week I am in a lot of pain and have taken a step backwards. ~Pat xxxxx #8861740

Hello there Emile, good advice, I am thinking of shooting in JPEG for awhile as I have Peripheral neuropathy, driving me nuts as had it for five months now. Can't stand it for too long sitting.

I sound like a hypochondriac don't I LOL. The pain was under control because I walked it off but I just tore a couple of carteleges and was laid up after an arthrosopy.

Best weishes, I hope you come out to Oz soon, then we can all get up early with John LOL!

Hi there Lala, I solved the slow speed up here. I have to pedals underneath the computer desk so I can peddle and exercise whilst typing and then waiting for it to cathc up so I don't mind waisting time now.LOL.

Just watched the youtube link for Culling Sis. It made me really upset. How helpless you all must feel knowing that your words fall of deaf greedy ears. :((((((((((

Very sad after watching it. But glad you shared it. I had no idea until now that ANY of this was going on. Terrible.

Yes, it is sad little sister, it seems to be falling on the deaf ears of the Native Animal Trust Fund.

The President was supposed to ring Chris and me today but didn't. I have already emailed them three times so yes.

At least YOU know what happens out here. I think most people duck for cover, don't want to know sort of thing. #8870543

Ooo! Neat...but this doesn't really hook up to your computer does it? No...? I am very gullible Sis. And believe all things are possible! :)))

Anyway glad you are pedaling lots. It will help you feel better!!!
