Old wooden wagon wheel

I really dig this, Jeff. This reminds me so much of the type of b&w's my friends and I would seek out when I was but a wee lass.

Everything is balanced well in the frame, and the contrast is striking. Love it. #2140

Jeff, my previous comment didn't come out the way I meant it to sound. I was trying to compliment you on your subject matter. What I meant to say is that I remember being able to "see" these shots when I was younger and had more time to stop and look. I love the simplicity. And I love it in b&w. #3305

I understand completely! Thank you so much for the compliment...

It was an unusual find, you just don't see old wagon wheels lying around... and I couldn't resist when I found this one. I'm really enjoying my passion for photography... I'm a graphic artist right now... but if I could make a good living with photography... I'd do it in a heartbeat...

Have a great day..

Well, there you go. A graphic artist and photographer complement each other well. You can implement your talent and experience from one to the other. I think that's cool. Where in the world are you, by the way? My EX-brother-in-law in a graphic artist. Why don't you do me (and my single-mom sister) a big favor and monopolize all the art business in and around Memphis, TN. Actually, that's not really a good idea. My sister needs his money.

haha...
I'm in Dayton, Ohio....

Thank you for your encouragement... I'm having some career choices to make right now... and your good words are really making my day!!! =)

I work at a tv station... but I'm getting tired of making anthrax graphics... need a new type of graphics job.

Thanks again!!

I hear you--your job doesn't sound like it offers you much room for creativity. Why not a design house or ad agency? Come to Dallas. I think ex-butthead's old job is still vacant. Ha ha. #3322

hehe... you read my mind..

I just delivered a resume to a design house about 5 minutes away from my house. Have seen the building for years... but never knew what they do...
they are called Design Forum... www.designforum.com sounds like something I'd like to do... I just get really nervous when interviewing. I've been comfortable at my current job... and a new change is nerve racking to me. I'll just eat lots of TUMS..=)

Don't sweat it, Jeff. It'll be fine. Good luck and don't take Tums! Take Zantac--much better and doesn't taste like sidewalk chalk.

Just go in there with all the confidence you can muster. Tell yourself you are the man for the job. That attitude will be conveyed to the interviewer in your demeanor and in your body language, which, in my opinion, is 90% of the whole shabang. It's okay to be nervous! Most people think it's not, but it is. Nerves can be used to your advantage. The right level of stress will keep you sharp and on your toes in this kind of situation. Don't forget to keep eye contact and keep an open presence---body language again. We learned this trick in nursing school called Sit Squarely ...uh, can't remember the stupid thing now, but you get my drift, yes?

Good luck. I'll be rooting for you. #3327
