This is exquisite, Erik! I have seen many images of Oxbow Bend (and have taken some myself), but this is certainly one of the best! The lighting is just spectacular, the swath of vibrant fall colors against the granite Tetons is superb, and the solitary kayaker against the smooth reflections really makes for a perfect composition! Congratulations on an outstanding POTD - I'm sure we'll see it again! #8812207

WOW! This is exquisite and just as I remembered the area 60 years ago, when as a child I fished the waters with my father.

The late afternoon lighting and texture are perfect for bringing up and enhancing the detail in the rock and the trees and the solitary kayaker breaking through the smooth reflection makes this a winner in my eyes.
