Damsel Kama Sutra
Uploaded: July 19, 2005
f4.0, 1/80s, 8mm, ISO 80, Charleston Lake, stormy weather, by the lakeshore. Damsel flies mating, late afternoon. I used a smudge and the poster edges in PS to give it a bit of a "hippie" look.

I guess Damsel Flies must always form hearts when lusting after each other. I have seen another member's shot with a full heart.Joy Rector July 20, 2005

Thank you Goshka, Deborah, SHelly, Bianca, Kate, Joy, Patricia, Bonnie, Joyce, and Ermanno for your kind comments. I really appreciate it.There's private life gone public all around us!
I would like to mention the difference between damselflies and dragonflies. Dragonflies are generally larger and hold their wings to the side whereas damselflies are smaller and slenderer and hold their wings behind them.
Thank you for visiting and commenting. :-) #1618345

Good timing to find this wonderful image AFTER you'd written a clarification about damselflies (which I'd never heard of, till tonight). Thanks, Mary!Sylvia Rossler August 06, 2005

Thank you Mary and Sylvia for your kind comments! I always worry that people might be annoyed at me for contradicting what they've written. I don't want to offend anyone. Mary :-) #1686366Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
