Summer Hottie

Uploaded: July 10, 2010

Description

Shot this female Black-chinned Hummingbird yesterday, it's hot here now in Central Texas. Lots of rain lately too, unusual for this time of year.
From my first series of hummer shots this Summer..
F/9, 1/2000th, ISO 800, Canon 1D M3, 300mm f/2.8 + 1.4 x ext, 580EX Speedlite, Manfrotto 055MF4 carbon fiber tripod.
Cropped about 20% from FF. Have a 2:3 that works as well, but chose the 4:5 ratio for this post.
