Worm In Sheep's Clothing

Uploaded: July 09, 2010

Description

The white waxy cloak of the Butternut Woolly Worm (Eriocampa juglandis) functions as an effective camouflage and a deterent to predation.
Eventually this tiny larva will shed its hairy shield and mutate into an adult sawfly.
