Veins in backlight

Uploaded: June 22, 2010

Description

This image was shot from my backyard to outline the veins structure of the leaves using backlight from the sun against a blue sky to compliment the yellow/gold of the leaf. I tried to get an angulated left to right POV to compliment the angles of the veins. It was shot ISO 100 F/16 to get good detail and 1/100 sec in AV mode at 85mm. Comments are always welcome, Emile

Thanks John looking forward to shooting the
Rodeo from inside the middle of the arena again
in first week in July. Will try not to get stomped
by the bronco this year. Glad you liked this one
which was an experiment in lighting and composition. #8713657

Was part of my backyard series to show you do not have to travel to get interesting shots. Loved your macro of green on green. #8721360

Hi Emile,
The violet blue sky and back lighting sets off the branch of veined leaves beautifully. Nice focus and composition.

What an inspiring way to encourage explorations of our own backyards!
