Hey Sharon,

I've been hanging out at my daughter's house here in Dallas. They just bought a new knock-out pc ... absolutely a dream machine. Everyone in the family has learned the hard way to call us before they put a pc on the net so that we can load it up with free software that will keep all the little icky's out.

Of course ... you can just know ... i've also loaded all the freebie software I can find that adds functionality ... you know like ... google's nice suite: google toolbar, picasa2, hello, and then got them started on a blog :-D ... I just love creating new addictions.

My son-in-law now feels he has a reason to be more serious with his photography ... now that he can actually see the photographs.

Personally, now that I can see my photographs ... I'm sick ... I need a new camera. My camera is still in the shop!!! I'm praying for a replacement ...

I need a much better monitor too. Ah well ... one thing at a time.

Have you heard? In a month, we're moving to Oregon!!!!

Starbucks is good because of the Baristas and the customers ... and ... of course ... HIGH SPEED Internet. New management ... mmm... jury's still out in intense deliberation. But transfer to an Oregon store seems to be a strong possibility ... so, as it is anywhere ... management is actually the most fleeting aspect.

I have an old car story ... My dad once had a Buick duce and a half ... (don't ask me what it's real model was because I only knew its street name).

It saw some good times and not so good times and ended up being a really big really multi-tone vehicle that looked like it should be in the dump ... but my dad ... he knows his engines.

So ... one of the many times he had one of my vehicles under his shade tree for repair ... he loaned me "the old clunker."

So one hot afternoon I was sitting at a light, with the windows down, my hair up in a bun ... me and the car look'n old ... certainly over the hill.

Up on my right came a young dude in his little new "hot rod wanna be" and on the left another pulled up. And they sat there revving their engines back and forth ... and I sat there in a nice smooth idle.

The light turned green ... and them boys found out a thing or two about my daddy, his car, and his daughter. I left 'em sitt'n at the light.

They couldn't catch up until I had to stop at the next light. I didn't look left and I didn't look right. I just sat there look'n "old" in an old smooth idling car ... with a big smirk on my face ...

nah they didn't waste no more gas rev'n their engines.

However ... my dad still has his 65 Dodge Cornet Stationwagon ... yeah he'd have my head if I drove it like that. Sometimes he'll drive it slow to the lumberyard. Supposedly we're suppose to find a way to burry him in that thing!

have fun
