Thanks Jeff, that means so much to me. I feel that is more of an honor than a prize. #8627867

Gorgeous scene and capture Ellen! I really like the warm light and your use of leading lines in your composiiton. I'm sure we'll be seeing this beautiful capture again! #8628008

You done good girl!! As noted, this is a lovely shot with excellent composition and the slight opening of the foreground shadows only added to it's beauty.

As lovely as it is, I can see a slight variation that you might want to try just for the sake of trying it. This will result in just a bit warmer shot with a more dynamic sky.

Duplicate your latest post twice and then add a blank layer above your original background shot. Select the top layer and blend using the multiply blend. Merge it with the layer below it and then group with the blank layer by clicking on control + G.

Now high light the blank layer and apply a gradient starting at the left edge of the shot 1/3 the way down and ending on the right 1/3 the way up from the bottom. Finally adjust the opacity to suit your taste. #8628752

Thank you Dale.

I think I did what you suggested. I have not done much using gradient, so I got a little lost with the starting and ending points. But after fumbling around I got this.

Is this close to what you are suggesting? #8629908

Ooh, I like it. . . . #8629984

Thanks Jeff, I do too.

I knew I should have waited until Dale to enter this. When will I ever learn! #8629989

Jeff E Jensen May 23, 2010

I think most of us are a little slow in that regards Ellen. I think we've even caught Dale a time or two, wishing he had waited before entering. :o) #8629993

I just get so excited when I get a good shot. #8630007

Dale Hardin May 23, 2010

You did it perfectly. You had such a good shot to begin with that it was impossible to mess it up.

Give gradients a try. They're sometimes much faster than gradually erasing areas etc. #8630353

Thanks Dale. #8641102
