How close is the oil? Is it there yet? That has been so upsetting to hear about. What are the clean up efforts?

This is *beautiful* Sherrybear.

Did you know that DAWN soap is the one they use to get the oil off of the bird life when there are oil spills? I use DAWN to support this effort of theirs and of course it really is the best soap for fighting grease!

Thank you for your concern dear Laura.. the oil hasnt effected our beaches as yet... cept for the tourist... lots of people are loosing money...
There is a lot of oil out there and if they dont stop it soon I fear it will be really bad... cleaning the sand will be the least of our problems... the fish and wildlife will be devastated...
The winds and sea currents have kept from the florida beaches so far... and if BP really does what it promises to do the area will survive...but if they dont well...

I do covet and appriciate your concern and prayers for my gulf coast... I do feel God has been sparing us thus far... but it will be a long time before it is truely cleaned up and taken care of... #8619256

BP meaning Boarder Patrol? #8620126

British Petroleum... the oil company that is responsible for the spill. They have made many promises to local companies that rely on the tourist dollar... and the seafood industry as well... #8620785

Beautiful sunset beach photo let’s just pray it stays that way, I live in south-central Louisiana and we have oil coming ashore on the barrier islands and marsh as well. #8626753
