Thank you, Ronald! To answer your questions - yes. I took about 100 pictures on a very rainy afternoon (yep I was quite bored), with a glass of water standing in a pan and lots of towels around. The camera was on a tripod a few inches from the glass and I would set a 2-second timer, then pour water in from above. I got bunches of cool looking shots. Here's another sample.
