Mustang Island
Port Aransas, TX
Located in the Central Migratory Flyway and in the heart of the spring and fall migration routes, Port Aransas attracts an abundance of birds and birders alike. The almost mile-long boardwalk with a 25 foot observation tower provides an excellent sweeping view of 10 acres of both fresh and saltwater marshes and a huge amount of water fowl, as well as, land birds. These birds know a good thing when they see it! (The gathering of Spoonbills was the definite highlight for me!)
