A beauty Carol...... #79890Carol Engstrom May 26, 2019
Thanks so much everyone! Cees, Judy, Kathleen, Carolyn, Rick, and Shirley--I appreciate your comments so much. :-)Carolyn--where I grew up in Idaho my Mom used to raise all different colors of poppies, but they had a lot more petals than the wild California ones. They also have some different colors here, but these orange ones are the only color I have seen growing wild. #79914

Thanks, Mette. :-) #80070Carol Engstrom May 26, 2019
And thank you too, Dolores. There are millions of them growing on this reserve--they used to be all over the California hills before all the cities and farms came in. I'll put on a picture one of these days showing how thick they are in some places. It really is amazing. #80071Suzie Strasburg May 26, 2019
Very very lovely Carole...I don't believe I've ever seen wild poppies either... #80092Carol Engstrom May 26, 2019
Thanks Suzie. :-) You and Dolores will have to visit California in the spring sometime. #80108Suzie Strasburg May 26, 2019

Wonderful shot Carol! #80339Gary H. Minish May 26, 2019
Beautiful photo, Carol! This is my favorite of the poppy photos. The exposure and focus are exquisite, making the plants stand right out of the frame. The plank walkway in the back adds to the depth and gives the whole scene character and mood. A VERY well executed shot! #80667Carol Engstrom May 26, 2019
Suzie--let me know when you get enough pennies, so we can go on a poppy field trip together.Damian--thanks for your comment. I appreciate it.
Gary--Thanks for telling me the things you like about this. I think it is my favorite of my poppy photos also. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :-) #81025
