Thanks BP for a Wonderful 2007! I want to thank BP for a wonderful year! If it wasn't for entering a shot every day and commenting I wouldn't have kept up with my photography and met such wonderful friends. I'm real excited to start a new year to see what else I can learn and who else I can meet! Also a big thanks to all the members that made this possible too! I love making friends and have had a great time on BP doing it. I didn't think I could learn so many new things in a year's time. Let's keep the camera's clicking and Keyboards tapping!

I completely agree with you Linda! BP photographers always have the best advice and tips on how and what to shoot! Although the last year was tough, emails from friends I have met here kept me going and when I finally got back into the swing of things, they were right there waiting with open arms. It is wonderful to share interests and hobbies and it is an added bonus when it takes you farther than you thought you could go! My friend Judy K.inspired me to get a camera (my first) then Amy told me about the BP shoot in Atlanta and I met all you wonderful people and then on to Omaha and Virginia not mentioning the times we Dixie Chicks got together ~ I can never thank you and the BP friends enough for insisting I just keep shooting and keep learning! Thanks for starting this thread, Linda! For the BP folks, thanks for running a super site. You're a part of my daily life now. If I had not stumbled onto your web page, I know I would not enjoy photography as much as I do today. I have met many people behind the mini-pics, and my life has been enriched because of it. Your site has inspired many people thru the contests, the forums, and the classes. I know you guys have a thankless job running the site, and having to put up with all our personalities, likes, and dislikes. All too often, you probably hear the negatives. But they're minor compared to all the positives you guys deliver on a daily basis. Keep up the great work!!

I routinely visit a number of other sites – writing and photography – but always end up back here at BP. My work keeps me away from home for fairly long periods of time and sometimes I need encouragement and a slug of anti-homesickness medicine. Other times I need help solving some issue that occurs when I am far from home. BP is such a great resource for all the above! I am so thankful to everyone here who takes the time to answer my questions, to provide insight and ideas and to offer encouragement. I’ve loved every class I’ve taken here and learned a tremendous amount; however, it is the sharing on these forums that keeps me coming back, time after time. I would like to thank BP for a wonderful year... I have improved on my photography skills--thanks especially to the contest for keeping me working on them on a daily basis--and met some wonderful, wonderful people--discussions, forums, and all the clubs (101 you are awesome)! I have gotten some great tips--classes, forums and radio show--and was able to share some of my own. I've had a few great adventures and thrills with a photography buddy--hey Chris B. I'll never forget standing out in that lightening storm and waking up to see all those beautiful cathedral colors! I have gotten some quick answers to questions and concerns--thanks BP staff for your prompt responses and just for being a caring group of people! It has been a real pleasure and a joy to be a member this year and I am definitely looking forward to 2008! Happy New Year to everyone from all around the world who are a part of the Better Photo community! I think we've definitely shown here that there is a possibility for world peace.

I joined BetterPhoto three years ago and I have improved my photography skills, taken photography lessons, read many interesting books, bought a new camera and most importantly, met many wonderful people who are now my friends and thanks to whom I have learned many new things and discovered that when a hobby takes up almost all of your free time it is no longer a hobby, but an important part of your life. So, I think I would like to thank you, Jim, Heather and all the BP staff for having given me the chance to meet all these wonderful people who are now part of my big family called The Photo Group 101 and whose invaluable support and constant encouragement have always helped me see that I will always be able to do better than today. Thanks Linda for starting this thread, such a great idea! I started this year, looking for a sight I could do my photo's and share them, something I have enjoyed doing for over 15 years, and I am soooooooooo happy to have found this sight. My husband has to drag me away from the PC now LOL! I Have met so many wonderful people on this sight it just blows my mind how nice EVERYONE has been with the support, encouragment, laughs and friendships that have elvolved. I was so fortunate to meet one BP member this year from my state meeting her on BP, which never would have happned without BP sight and have become very good friends. With the clubs being started, I stared one for WI and now have 22 members in it. I hope we can all meet sometime for a fun shoot in 2008. I myself had been so frustrated and wanted to quit a few times and with the support of the BP community I hung in there and so glad I did as I just keep meeting more and more people and wouldn't give it up for anything. One special person I want to thank is Bob Hall, he was a god send to me to keep going and never letting me give up and has taught me so many things, he is always there. You guys ALL ROCK and I wish you all a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR, I can't wait to see all the pictures everyday, it's the first thing I do when I get up and it's the last thing I am doing when I go to bed in the wee hrs of the morning. THANK YOU fellow BP'er's, and thanks to the staff for making this such an enjoyable sight, it IS MY FAVORITE ONE!
