search feature: what can be searched for? Hi (category would be "About BetterPhot"') Is the search feature supposed to search for all photos? I'm looking for two photos which I saw on BP and can't find now (there are also other things that make me think the search isn't working the way I'd expect it to). Picture 1: the 'architecture' one I talk about here. Picture 2 I only saw yesterday (but probably while looking for picture 1, so it might have been an old contest entry): three small girls walking in front of a glass window (from the right to the left side of the picture), movement very nicely captured (at first I thought it was the same girl three times, but they wear different shoes). Photographer a man, I think. In the reflection there is a woman visible. The picture has a black and white feel although it's colored (maybe only partly colored?). I think the girls had balloons and the picture is called something with 'ballet', but I can't find it. Oh, and the original question was: are others having difficulties with the search feature, too? If you know some key words in the title/description, search for them. Interestingly, in the above photo there is a small typo, and therefore, search for the string "balloon" fails. ...but again, this search engine may not be 100% perfect... I was looking for a certain photo and the search did not turn out what I was looking for.

Neither does "reflection girls" which is from a single post in the discussion. Nor does "ballet girls cute"... Thanks again for your help. Best wishes :-) Manuela

Search by photo title isn't reliable either, actually: searching for "silent storm" doesn't find this.

m, actually, the search tool has gotten 100% better now than before. So, you can find more people (especially free gallery members), more photos, and more discussions than ever. It may even get better... As mentined above, you will have to use a key word (or key words) in the title/description to search for certain photos. There are so many superb architectual abstract/reflections photos submited on this site and I'm sure you will see more of your liking. Sample photos: ..and extra :)

Hi Nobi, thank you :-) As mentioned above, knowing the title or some keywords isn't enough - but of course it's better than no search function at all ;-) It's not that there aren't others I like, I'd just love to find that particular one for my list of inspirations. Best wishes :-) Manuela
