What is the best inexpensive monitor ? My DEll monitor died on me and I have too buy a new one. I am looking to spend under $200 for a 22" monitor. Any recommendations about what brand? Loved the Dell, but it only lasted 3 years and of course died 3 weeks after my warranty was expired :-) With the holidays, black Friday etc. happening I am hoping to get a good deal on something that is best for Photoshop as I use it all the time. I checked the forum, but there is nothing recently posted...I am using a Desktop PC.

Usman, I actually did get an Acer 22" monitor from Bestbuy, when I got it home it turned out to be a piece of junk. The monitor does not fit on the stand, the buttons for adjusting things are located in a very inconvenient spot and the color is awful. This is why UI am asking for recommendations about what brand to buy. What brand monitor do you use yourself? I loved my DEll monitor, but it died after just 3 years...

I was just interested in hearing what kind of monitors the other photographers here on BP were using and if they liked them. I actually ended up getting another Dell ...Dell - 23" Widescreen Flat-Panel IPS LED HD Monitor S2340M . Now to return the damaged one and get this one at Bestbuy...I am waiting until after the weekend:-)They had folks in tents waiting on Wednesday for Black Friday!

Hope the Dell serves you well for a long time. I don't use a monitor. I do all my processing on the two laptops that I have, one at home and one in office. UB.
