Sample PRO Web Sites

I am trying to decide whether to buy a BP PRO web site while they are on sale, but I would like to see more samples of them.

There used to be a list of BP members with links to their sites on BP. Does anybody know if that still exists? I can't find it. Otherwise, if you know of a PRO web site that you would recommend, please provide the link to it.

Thanks!

  Hi Debra,
Good hearing from you, and thanks for your interest in the Pro sites!

Here's the link to all of the Pro BetterPholios (under the "Get a Website" tab):
http://www.betterphoto.com/sites4photogs/allDeluxeProsList.php

Lots of excellent ones to check out. Top pro and BP instructor Jim Zuckerman uses a Pro site as his only website:
www.corporatefineart.com

Have fun checking them out!

  Thanks, Kerry.

Could you please tell me if it is optional whether you display the "Photography Websites by BetterPhoto.com" link at the bottom of the pages?

Also, is the mechanism for creating and sorting photo albums the same or better than the way it is done in the Basic membership?

  Hi Debra,

I’m Brian with BP customer support, and to follow up with what Kerry told you and answer your last questions: The BetterPhoto websites logo at the bottom of the page is not optional, and appears with all our website products.

The galleries on our Pro Sites (similar to albums in the Basic Membership) are processed in similar manner to the Basic Albums, but with more options and a great sorting feature.

1: There is an option to categorize photos in bulk. You have the choice of bulk categorizing all uncategorized photos or just uncategorized photos that have been uploaded within the last 24 hours. (Or you can edit categories for photos individually).

2: With the Basic gallery albums, the album display order is done alphabetically, by title. so you can only arrange them by changing the title, or placing numbers in front of the title. With the Pro categories, there is a sort option that allows you to quickly drag and drop the album titles in the order you wish them displayed. (I believe this is the feature you are specifically asking about.)

3. The Pro galleries are further enhanced with the option of creating Parent categories, each containing sub-categories. For example: a “Softball” category, with sub-categories for pictures of individual tournaments. Or “Bears” with categories for Grizzly, Polar, etc. If parent categories are created, there is also a sort feature available for them.

I hope this gives you a better idea of the Pro galleries features and the album sorting features. Thanks again for your interest in our Pro Websites, and we hope you’ll be able to take advantage of our Super Sale now in progress (thru 05-19-09).

Regards, Brian
