Photography Question

Doris Butcher

Can I change cameras during a course?

I have been using a Canon Powershot G7 for the first three lessons of my course. I have only one more lesson to complete but my enthusiasm has been so great that my family have bought me a Canon 1000D. I cannot wait to use it - may I?

  Hello Doris,
Most BP courses do not care what camera you are using. I often used a Canon 40D, 20D and a Fuji Finepix camera with my past courses.
You should use your campus square Q&A section and post your question to get your students & instructors feedback.
Congrats on the new camera.
Have fun,
Carlton

As Carlton suggests, probably best to ask the instructor. However, and not to speak for all instructors, it really should not matter unless you are in a camera-specific course or need specific features that you'll no longer have. I assume my students may be using images for the class that they may have taken long ago, and that most will own or have access to more than one camera.

Read the manual, be prepared to use the camera to its fullest, and all should be well.

Congrats on the new equipment.
