Monitor Hoods Has anyone ever made a homemade monitor hood? If so, is there a certain material to use that would not reflect any colors or glare onto the monitor? Or any recommendations for a good hood for photo editing that doesn't cost a bunch?

Kristi - You can make a good one from simple cardboard. Just spray paint the inside a flat black or medium gray that doesn't reflect color - using the cardboard by itself will give your images a warm look. Jon

I made mine out of black mat board. It works well and required no painting. StanB

I have used black foam core board to make my hood. Anything works as long as it is black.
