Converting a Picture to a Transparent Photo
I use Adobe 7.0. I am wanting to convert a photo to a transparent to merge onto another photo. I have looked in everything that I can to see how to do this but haven't found what I need. Can someone please tell me how to do this. Thank you.

Hi Barbara. Try this: Open up the photo you want as your base or "bottom" photo. Then copy and paste the other photo, the one that you want to be transparent, onto it. Then go to layers and adjust the opacity bar. This should allow you to choose how transparent you want the top photo to be. Hope that helps, Nancy

Barbara, Nancy's right, but you may want to also try different blending modes with your layers. Here's an example. I pasted the dragonfly wings on a red and yellow background in 3 different ways. 1 is pasted normal, 100% opacity. 2 is pasted normal, 50% opacity. 3 is pasted multiply, 100% opacity. Play around with the different blending modes for the effect you want.

In addition, the "Fill" adjustment will also affect the final layered effect.
