Telephoto Lens for Shooting Sports I need more zoom. I currently have a 75-300 4-5.6. Should I get a converter or look to buy a lens? I would like a smaller aperture and faster lens. I mostly shoot fast-action sports, soccer, football and motorcross. What do you recommend?

A faster lens would be your best option ... unless you want to shoot at a higher ISO setting, and be content with grainier action shots. If you were to add a teleconverter to your current lens, you would indeed get more reach ... but at the cost of a slower shutter speed or less depth of field. For outdoor events in bright sun, this might be do-able, but for indoor arenas, I doubt you'll be able to acquire enough speed to freeze the action.

100 to 400mm Image stabilizer by Canon, Sigma, or Nikon, Add a 1.4X when needed. Use Fuji 800NPZ film, sharp and smooooth with rich colors. I use a Tokina 80-400mm and Kenko pro1.4x and Fuji 800NPZ and a Canon 550 flash(with must have battery pack)for action shots, also a 3245 Bogen automatic monopod. Do I wish I had a IS lens? I don't think I would have learned to be steadier and anticipated my shots better like I had to with this tokina lens. And besides this Tokina is half the weight and compact.
