71 .  Deluxe Site and Contests
I recently upgraded to a Deluxe Site and am very, very happy with it. The only question I have is can I still enter the contests with a deluxe site. I know the badges transferred over when I uploaded them from the old one to the new one but didn't see any place to enter contests from deluxe admin center.

You cannot enter the contest directly from your Deluxe Admin. Center.
Just go to your BP Member Center and select "Better Photos" to access contest upload options.

Bob is absolutely right! Once you are in your BetterPhoto member center, choose your Better Photos tab. You will see a "Contest" heading on the left hand side of that page. Click on the "Your Photos" link. You will then see all of your photos with a contest entry button under each. Click on that to enter your photos into the contest. I hope this helps!

  72 .  Changing membership level
I currently have a deluxe and pro site that are about to expire. I am keeping th pro site but am going to downgrade to a basic site instead of the deluxe to cut a few costs. Is there a way to do this so I won't lose the photos that are already uploaded to my deluxe site?

Hi Travis: Thanks for your question! All of your images that have been uploaded to your web site are also located in your BetterPhoto member center under your Better Photos tab. If you decide to go with a Basic, all of your images are still there, ready to be posted in your Basic gallery. You won't lose your images. The difference, however, is you can only post up to 1,000 images on your Basic as opposed to unlimited images on your web site. I hope this helps! Please feel free to email me at amy@betterphoto.com if you have more questions. Thanks!

73 .  Finding comments on my pics
Hi. I'm new here and this may be a dumb question, but...

I've received a few emails today, leeting me know there have been discussions on pictures in my gallery. I can obviously click on the link in the email to see the comments, but I can't find a way to see all comments from the member center. I want to make sure I thank the folks who are commenting.

11/18/2009 4:03:18 PM

  Hi, Adrian,

Go to you gallery, click on any pic and look for the link "Discuss this photo" or "Read photo discussion" depending on whether a comment has been posted yet.

By the way, very nice nature studies in your gallery!

Cheers,

RK

The easiest way to thank people for comments is to just respond to the discussion on the photo itself.

By the way, you may be new to betterphoto but you definitely aren't new to photography. You have great work, composition and color in your gallery.

Another way of thanking folks is to go to their gallery, comment on one of their photos, and thank them. Or, hit their contact button and say thanks. For me personally, I don't usually return to a photo to see if the photographer commented on my comment. Just don't have enough time in my day. :-) And I agree with Clayton...you have some great shots!

Thanks everyone. I appreciate you taking the time, and I definitely appreciate the kind words about my photos.

I'm looking forward to spending more time on here, and browsing the excellent galleries.

Cheers,
Adrian

  74 .  Photo Albums
If I transfer uploaded photos from my main gallery to a new album, will I lose the editors pick logo?

10/30/2009 6:33:24 PM

Richard, I'm thinking "not". I usually assign all newly uploaded images to specific albums. Later, I will go in and click on any image that has received an EP so that it also goes into my Editor Pick (or Finalist, etc) album. That seems to work fine. In fact, I've changed the album designation on any number of images with no loss.

Thanks Kathy, I haven't been so organized. I loaded all of my images without albums, and just recently decided that separate albums would be better. I want to move the existing pictures, and didn't want to lose the logo. I'll try it (with fingers crossed.)

11/2/2009 4:25:43 PM

I've seen images organized both ways - I think it's just a matter of the photog's needs.

One suggestion: Do one picture with an EP - and see what happens with that one. If you have one with no comments, even a better choice.

Good Luck.

11/2/2009 4:40:46 PM

Richard, I just emailed you the couple of links at BP I use to to create and then to move the the images.

Don't reload the image for new positioning or you will lose what every awards or comments you have.

Please can someone explain, why when I upload a batch of pix, and specify the gallery I want them in, they appear in another one!!! This has just happened, with Babby/Fam pix appearing in my Corporate Events :( I've gone into my Admin, and double-checked that Babies is checked, and NOT Corporate, and everything is correct, but the pix are still in both galleries...!!!
