Gene, thanks a lot! I lked this one, out of a couple of dozen shots, because of the underwater rocks :-)

Beautiful Capture Inge! I live in Washington, and let me tell you it's one of the most beautiful places in the world! (Granted it rains alot) Wonderful Photo, and I like the underwater rocks too! =D

It's a very pretty shot, but the balance is off.

Ellen, thanks for the comment. Could you please clarify which balance that is off? Colors, horizon, exposure in sky vs tarn?

Hi Inge, I've been looking at this for ten minutes, to try and clarify it to myself and what I might have done differently. I wish I had an uncropped version to get some other perspective. But, what I can tell you is that my eye keeps going off the page on top. It's a little top heavy. I would not suggest putting the grass line in the middle, but maybe just pulling the whole thing down a bit.

And I understood your wanting to bring balance by placing the rocks where you did. Perhaps if those rocks were a little darker it would have kept my eye on the whole page. But the tone is too close to the tones of the water to do that for me.
