This was the eighth (and last) balloon I popped in this fun photo shoot. A couple of others turned out fairly well, but this one is my favorite.

If your son is brave enough I have seen this image done where you place the balloon over his head and burst it and the water makes a cap shape on his head...if you get the timing right.

Patricia, Although I'm dying to try your suggestion, I'm gonna have to find a volunteer for the balloon-over-the-head shot...My son says, "No!" :(

G'day Lisa,

I can really appreciate the difficulties in photographing this.
The result is truly amazing and made with such clarity and precision.
It certainly is a split second frozen in time but it is also one that has been frozen in great light with an equally great exposure.

Very, very well done that girl and a well done to the balloon piercing device operator. 8-)
