I was hoping that you weren't in the water with them, Vicki! Then you tell us you did swim with them. Are you daft? LOL! I wouldn't do that in a trillion years!!! Nice shot of these menacing looking critters! (You did know that they eat people, right???) ;-)

LOL, Jean! Yes, I do know they eat people, but we were perfectly safe! Our guides threw out a bunch of what looked like dry dog food and they went in a FRENZY (got pics of that, too), then they put a metal box of some sort at the bottom of the ocean floor to keep them a bit away from us. Unlike from when we were 'just' snorkeling and able to swim around freely, the waters were deeper with a lot more movement during the shark swim and we were not allowed to let go of the rope we were tethered to. It was still amazing to watch them swim around with such grace. I did take a bunch of pics of the sharks that were around us with the underwater camera, but none were "BP-worthy", however still VERY kewl to see and remember our adventure by. It was by far the most amazing experience we had ever experienced! Snorkeling hand in hand with hubby was beyond romantic. I also had the opportunity to live out a life-long dream and swim with dolphins on this trip.

Good job! I've tried at our aquarium, but never able to get anything like this.. :-)

Thanks, Bob! The trick I was told is, if possible, to literally rest your lens right on the glass like I did on the school of fish image you saw yesterday. Many shots you will get from an aquarium will have dirty or scratched glass, so truly can be a challenge. On this one, however, the room was empty and fairly dark with no glare on the glass, so I was able to stand back a bit to get the shot. I used my trusty Fuji on this, too.

YOu make me want to visit my local aquarium with this shot! I feel like I'm at the bottom of the ocean here! Great feel to this shot! Congrats on the EP!
