Arthur Rosch     Nicely done. Did you do any stacking
or dark frame subtraction? You've
got a really clean sky, and it's
nice and black, too, especially
contrasted with the trees. I've yet
to get a great trails shot with my
10D but there's an article in this
months Sky and Telescope that you
might be interested in.

No dark frame subtraction. I stacked 25 images exposed for 58 seconds and paint with the flash light in between. So that's actually 1450 seconds.

Interesting you comment on the grain. The full size version has more grain because it's at ISO 800. I was shooting at 800 earlier in the day, and completely forgot to bump the ISO back down. I was kicking myself when I went back into my tent to process the photo, but it turned out ok.

Thanks for the kind words.
