Nicely done. Did you do any stacking or dark frame subtraction? You've got a really clean sky, and it's nice and black, too, especially contrasted with the trees. I've yet to get a great trails shot with my 10D but there's an article in this months Sky and Telescope that you might be interested in. art

No dark frame subtraction. I stacked 25 images exposed for 58 seconds and paint with the flash light in between. So that's actually 1450 seconds. Interesting you comment on the grain. The full size version has more grain because it's at ISO 800. I was shooting at 800 earlier in the day, and completely forgot to bump the ISO back down. I was kicking myself when I went back into my tent to process the photo, but it turned out ok. Thanks for the kind words. Chris
