Silent Buddha

Silent Buddha
Silent Buddha
A golden bronze Buddha statue, taken with the Minolta A1 dSLR. Framing and composition was tight due to the limitations of the fixed lens. Turned out well. Overall golden tint was due to the color of the bronze reflecting natural light on the surrounding walls.

Hi all,

This is my first photo submission to BetterPhoto. ^_^ I took this photo while on a photo-exploration trip(drive around with camera) in California. It was taken hand-held in dim light at ISO 100 with my Minolta A1.

The image has had basic auto-levels correction via Adobe Photoshop Elemnts 2.0 and has been scaled down for viewing on this page.

This wsa one of a few I took of the statue, but felt this one best captured the feel of Buddha.

I'd like to know what others think of this image, what works, what doesn't, what could be done better. ^_^
