Lynne- Good day my friend. Colorful, festive, fun picture of a picture that I am so glad you shared with us. Dazzling colors that pop, dance, and sing. Wow. This is a beautiful image. But, I'm sorry; I have contacted BP to state a complaint and I have started a thread in the Free Contest forum section on this.

I don't know if you have permission from the artist to post this image, but I suspect you do not. Please correct me if I am wrong. If not, you have violated the copyright of that artist.

However, and regardless, my two main complaints are:
- you failed to credit the artist, which is wrong
- BP should not be awarding submitted reproductions of art created by someone other than the submitter. That too is wrong.

Consider: how would you feel if someone downloaded an image of yours, made some minor adjustments, submitted it some contest some where and won?

I certainly hope the answer is: you wouldn't like it one bit.

I'm sure you just made a simple error in judgment. However, if you are a person of integrety and honesty, I expect you will take steps to rectify this situation.

David I did ask the gallery owner if it was ok to take a photo of the painting and he was happy for me to do so. However you rae right that I should have given credit to the artist who I believe is called Renold, but I will confirm when I get back from my holiday.
