Thanks, Carol. I really enjoy making flower portraits and will soon post some photos of plumeria blooms that I shot last weekend at the Corpus Christi botonical gardens. They are the blooms used to make leis and are very stunning. So please check back or visit www.mcgphotocards.com in a few days.

Murry, I'll be watching for the plumeria. I love them--I took some plumeria shots when I was in Hawaii in June. I have one of a plumeria lei I made that I like. Maybe I'll post it sometime. Doubt it will compare with yours though.

Thanks, Stephanie. Wow, a full time MOM and a photographer. I admire your energy. I enjoyed your kid pictures on your site--mine and the grandkids are all grown up now. I'm sure glad I took plenty photos and I know you will be too.

Thanks for visiting my site, Murry!

You should see me out on photo shoots for the courses I take with my camera gear AND kids in tow. It is a laughing site I am sure. With me on the floor in a crowded place and one boy crying or sitting on my lap at the same time, it is a wonder I get any good images back at all :O) I sure do love them!

Good luck again on the photo, it is splendid!

Stephanie

Murry, I was just viewing your gallery and this caught my eye. Powell Gardens,
is only 40+ miles from my home and I had already put it down as a place to
do some shooting this spring, summer and fall. I like the different heights, colors, and shapes of the foilage in the shot, very pleasing.

Duane, Powell Gardens is an excellent place to shot flower photos. If you can go during the week, they usually are not crowded and prices are a little less. If you ever go through Wichita, Botanic is a much smaller area but well established and beautifully landscaped. My daughter's family lives in Overland Park and we get up that way a couple times a year.

Thanks for hte tips, Murry. Business takes me to Wichita 2 or 3 times a year, next time I'll add a little extra to check out their gardens.

Just the usual levels, and unsharp filter that I do to all my D30 photos. The sprinkler was running and it was back light. So pretty much as I saw at Powell Gardens near KC.

Murry, I really do like this one. It looks like a gorgeous painting. I do wish you had layed the flower label down for the shoot. Beautiful!

Thanks, Toni, and good point. Rather than mess with the display I probably should clone it out in PS.
