Saw a Sulpher Crested Cockatoo at training and said "that'll do" as it was a cold freezing overcast day so I crept up on my belly hence the title. ~Pat

Like so much the DOF on this and the contrast between the focus parts and the very effective blured ones!

You guys are incredible, how nice you are to drop in and leave such flattering remarks, this has made my day, thank you all so very much.

LOL yes Ann, Nicole sang in a movie, I can't remember what it was.

Sherry, the music to go with the Cockatoo is on the gallery page, am only showing one thumbnail at a time.

BLESSINGS ALL! ~Pat

LOL Robert, I had a friend who had an agressive Cockatoo.... it lived for sixty years, Mick's parents owned first then gave it to him when he was six years of age but it never bit him, he took it everywhere sitting on his shoulder. His wife hated it as it bit her whenever it could! !Pat

Whoohooo....I love it Pat! Amazing DOF and effect for this....love the frame. How on earth do you get so lucky to have these interesting shots right before your eyes! Although I doubt I would be able to produce the masterpieces that you do from them! I have that old hyme stuck in my head now....I'll fly away O' glory...I'll fly away...when I die halleujah by and by....I'll fly away! LOL!

Pat, I am in total agreement with all your other admirers. Everything about this image is perfect. The bird, the DOF, the comp, the frame and the icing on the cake is the out of frame topknot feathers. Wonderful. Dale

Shoot everything all those fine folk above me said, and then some. Perfect shot, and even more perfect presentation! I hope the judges forget that they don't like frames on this one...

LOL if they think the frame is deliberate, that it is there to disguise an inferior photo they block the frame off with their fingers so they can only see the picture.

I enterred this one into Animals I think. by rights it should have gone into the Digital Darkroom.

I had an image of Bo my older dog that was ghastly with framing so I did not put it on display yet it got an EP. Got a hell of a shock.

If it does no good Joan I will put it in next month without frames. I'm doing this with some of my April shots and May shots, putting them into another catagory if I feel they are good enough. Maybe re-edit a bit or re-crop. ~Pat

Gosh, I simply don't know where to start, yes Christine, the bird was quite shy, I have a few other shots, they were in a group.

This is one of my favorite shots, the depth of field is perfect isn't it, the day was perfect for taking photos, nice and overcast in fact it was drizzling when I hopped out of the car.

Thank you all for your wonderful words, it means so much to me, it really does!

LOL Aimee, I love you, such a sense of humour, have got my next one ready, a painting this time and Elton John sings
"Sorry seems to be the hardest word" so stay tuned lol.

Hi there Sherry, Robert heard the music on the album page, if you look at his site he has put music there too. That is soemthing you may be able to do, go to You Tube and get some code from there.

Here is the music for my Parrot. Sung by Nicole Kidman, I love her, her being an Australian and all that putting us on the map and then coming home to have her baby.

Hi there Jodi, isn't she so sweet with her head down and she kept her little eye on me as I was crawling closer and closer.

Normally I would have some bird food but this was taken at dog training and all I had were treats for Teena. Can't give a parrot meat lol.

Thank you for your kind words!

~Pat

Thank you little sister Such a sweet bird, was rather shy and wild.

I might re-enter it another time although I put in three different versions and all 3 got EP's LOL.

I don't think Cockeys are in somehow, not exotic enough. HA
