Photo of our two nephews making sure the planter is doing what it is suppose to do.
Many potato planters are guided by high-tech laser sensors to keep the rows straight and seed potatoes planted uniformly. After making sure it is working correctly no one has to ride on back.
Our nephew on the left takes a week off during planting to help us. He is a Physical Therapist but farming is in is blood. Our nephew on the right is part of our family operation. I captured him jumping on while the planter was in motion.

Good work, keeping them all in the family business. Our family was the same but in Oystering, they have all gone their own ways now, mostly due to industry change. Great shot=^..^=

Nice piece of photojournalism here! This is a world I don't know much about. How many acres of potatoes do you grow? Are you in Idaho? (Hope that's not a dumb question!)

I've lived on a farm my whole life but this is the first time I've seen a potato planter. I didn't know what the machine was until I read your description. Thanks for sharing.
