A yellow rose in b&w
I made the initial photo at home. At first I played with its overall image balance (brightness, contrast & gamma) in MS Photo Editor: turned the background almost black, but this made parts of the rose too orange. Then I made a negative and so the rose turned blue and the background white. I played a bit more with the image balance and then converted the image to b&w in Gimp and after that, changed the image balance a bit again, cropped it and cloned out some dead pixels in MS Photo Editor.
