The Chicago Aermotor "702" was introduced in 1933 featuring replaceable bearings and screw-type arms. By far the most popular water pumping windmill of the 20th Century, the Chicago built self-oiling Aermotor mills have been called the Cadillac of windmills because of their outstanding design and quality of workmanship. Even today, old reconditioned 702 Model mills command prices almost as high as those of factory fresh mills.

Wow Jim--the depth of your knowledge is absolutely amazing. How many people do I know that can go on for a paragraph on a particular type of windmill. You have managed to impress me. I think perhaps my neighbor Greg, could do it. He never forgets a word of anything he has learned in his lifetime. But you're more fun.

Windmill photo's are popular, and therfor quite common. This one stands out above the rest. Great shot and excellent presentation. You have me wondering where you were when you took the shot.Either this is a short windmill or you are very tall.

Fantastic image, Jim. I live in Texas and see windmills all the time and it is rare that I see a windmill image that I absolutely love. I like your comp. and tones. This is going into my favorites.
