Anna, I'm so glad you commented and thank you. I have been wanting to ask you about your black and white techniques. I have not been able to achieve such high contrast. Do you do this in camera and if so at what settings, or do you use post processing? And again if so, would you mind sharing the procedure? Thanks, Dale

Hi Susan. The lighting here is natural light on my patio. I placed the flowers on a chair and leaned a board covered with black velvet behind them. The only other thing was a slight crop and levels adjustment on the glass area.

Hi Barbara. Thanks for the kind comments. I know you like shooting flowers so will have to see if I can do another. Hope this one wasn't just a fluke. By the way, the arrangement was unaltered. This is just the way the bulbs grew after we purchased them a couple of weeks ago.
