John, I cannot (will not) speak for others on the appropriateness of the photo for the audience. I will say that your photo did a great job of capturing the "anguish" of the moment. Greetings Robert, Thank you for taking the time to comment on my work. I'm gratified to hear that this image has inspired you to look into just why around 100,000 people materialized in Seattle that day. The protests did not receive adequate (or much of any) national coverage. I won't go into this here,however. Lately, I have been going through my negs & I think these will eventually have some historical significance(even the ones I practically ruined in the darkroom). By the way, you have some really nice images yourself(folks in gas masks too). P.S. Are you from Seattle?
