Many thanks Joyce and Carol, for your comments. It was a difficult photo to do justice to, the terrain was rugged and I was trying to give the impression of a mass of flowering native plants, yet still maintain detail in the main subject.

Thank you for commenting Susan. Last summer there wasn't a single bloom in this area, nature is waiting for the next fire to start the process of regeneration all over again.
