Alright so let me get this right...you spot metered this by following it with your HUGE Canon zoom lens, while keeping it on the bird you adjusted your exposure, adjusted for your awesome dof, and still managed to take this shot without a spec of camera shake.....alright, just wanted to make sure I'm getting the whole picture! Bill you're a god!!!!...LOL...Just appreciating your fabulous skills! Great job on this one.

OK he was sitting on a log I spot metered him then he bolted so I was in spot meter mode I simply took a quick reading and lock on the brightest part of the wing and started blasting.

Fantastic exposure for white with ultra sharp detail, great lighting...I like the way the light varies on the bird's body, and terrific composition, Bill!! Thanks for the spot metering tip. Once I can figure out where I can change it on my camera I will do that as I am taking portraits of my birds.
