I am not really into spiders Tony, but this is an excellent close up capture of one! Nice work, my friend!

EWW! YUCK!! I hate spiders. Especially that one! Oh he looks huge and scary!! Thats the biggest uglyist house spider thing I have ever seen. But I must say still it ins a great photo op for ya! Hope you disposed of him properly or did he decide to relocate?

Thanks for your comments. I think he relocated after sizing me up thought I was a bit over his limit. They are a thing best looked at from a distance. I got another one for you both now.

This story goes back many years...

My Mom was a weaver. I remember getting a call from her place of employment (I was 18) that Mom may have been bitten by a spider (possible a black widow).

I rushed to her place of employment (which was not far from where we lived)...and took Mom from there to her doctor.

Since we had no spider to show the doctor for identification...the doctor could only go by the nasty swelling on Mom's finger and administerd injections.

Mom was reaching into a box of spool threads when she felt the sting...

Luckyily, Mom suffered no ill effects from that incident.

So, Anytime I see a spider...I am reminded of that incident, Tony (I respect their 'space'<:))

Lorraine your Mother was very lucky that all ended well for her. A bloke who lives nearby was bitten by a white tail spider & had a very bad arm for a long time. It kept breaking out in sores. Thank you both for your comments & story. All the best for the holidays.

I can appreciate your capture of detail here Tony but I have to join the others in steering clear of most spiders .. I can't tell the size of this one but know I wouldn't want him across my doorway!

Thanks Susie, his body was about an inch & a half long. They don't worry me much as long as they keep their distance.
