Thank you all so much for your kind and encouraging comments, and thank you Cindy and Jennifer for thinking enough of this to add it to your favs. I am honored! This is the third time for this image, and I can see a big difference in this one and the last. I used Orton on the last one, which gave it too soft a look. This time, although I used a bit of Orton, I sharpened it afterwards. This place is such a beautiful place to visit, and the closest FL gets to realistic-looking waterfalls. The flowers and bright greens were so gorgeous to see in January, so I think Justin and I will make another trip there this January, and the nice part is we can take a swim while there if we go on a warm and sunny day. The spring stays a constant 72 degrees year round, which is a lot warmer than our pool (we don't have a heated pool so no winter swimming for us). And I will get the chance to photograph the falls again! That was the first time I had the chance to try my hand at waterfalls, so it will be fun to try again! :)

I've been looking at and loving all your latest barn and countryside shots, Carol, but this gem of a waterfall photo pulled me up short! I've had a "tropical waterfall" photo hanging in our master bedroom for a decade, but yours puts it to shame.
