We are blessed with nature's gorgeous colors and diverse leaf shapes. I found all these leaves in our yard. These colors are all natural, I did nothing to enhance them. The camera was on a tripod using the remote inrared shutter clicker.. The shutter was open about 3 seconds using bright shade, and using a polarizing filter.

Songbird, God has created, and is continually creating some of the grandest images and impressions our eyes are privileged to view. However we are always on the rush, never having or taking the time to stop and "smell the roses" or draw in the sights that can thrill our souls. These sights and sounds and smells are always there, but it takes people like you sometimes to go out and capture these moments for others, who have walked by the same scene without ever having seen it. So you pick up these leafs that have spoken to you in one way or another and you present them for others in a way that forces them to take a second look and see what they missed the first time. And in that way you receive a double blessing, one for the intimacy of the original moment that touched you and brought you joy, and secondly for the gift of being able to give that "moment" to another. I've looked through your gallery and can tell that you want to do more than "take pictures". You want to share life’s experience! Keep on following your heart.

Mike.. you bring tears to my eyes with your deeply moving beautiful comment to me on my leaf photo. You have given me the greatest compliment that I have ever had. You have felt what I try to capture, preserve and share. I'm speechless and full of joyful tears. You write beautiful words, you are a poet. I deeply appreciate your greatest of all compliments. Thank you for looking at my gallery, and more than that, thank you for "feeling". I really am moved beyond words.

Life can not be lived fully without experiencing and "feeling" the multitude of individual special moments that make up the whole. It would be like happiness, which is only fleeting when there's no long term joy. It's like the old saying ... "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away” The greatest gift we can give to ourselves and to others is recognizing all that God has given us, being eternally thankful and grateful for it, and sharing those same things with others. -Keep snappin' that shutter.

Mike, you are not only very talented with your photographic ability, but you are a poet. Your "word pictures" are beautiful; your writing ability is tremendous.. I hope that you explore more of your poetic skills, and keep the gorgeous photos coming! Thank you for your deeply motivationg and insipational words.
