Waiting Out the Storm

	Waiting Out the Storm f/5.6, 7 secs (on bulb, corded remote shutter release), iso 400, 18-55mm @ 31mm. Camera on tripod from an 11th floor condo overlooking the Gulf of Mexico in South Padre Island. The lights in the distance are ships that were waiting out either Tropical Storm Erin or Hurricane Dean. This was between 3:30AM and 4:00AM. Shot in RAW and pp to open up shadows and bring out more of the detail in the clouds and lightning. Cropped and sharpened for web. Luz P

wow this is so great, but I was wondering, how do you put your camera on bulb? I've searched for it on my 400D but couldn't find it..
I hope you can tell me..

Anyway, I love this photograph, it's perfect.

Looked at an online manual for your camera...from pg 71

*Set to Manual mode
*Turn the ss dial all the way to the left
