Nikki this image does great things to the eye as you scroll up and down. It has terrific design elements and is also very well presented in black and white. As to what it is...it looks architectural to me.

Well, you were right the first time, Shell--and Melissa, Donna and Mel saw it, too. Mel's giving you a clue. The image is rotated so if you tip your head to the left--or your monitor to the right--you will recognize balconies on the righthand building, a hotel, I think. These buildings are in downtown San Francisco, seen from the Embarcadero, and it was that honeycomb shaped façade slicing down the center of this capture that first caught my attention. I'm sure someone will know exactly what buildings these are. Thanks so much for looking and commenting, everyone.

Absolutely terrific choice of framing here, Nikki. And the black and white is so very effective in emphasizing the lines. Even when doing the "tilt" it's a bit mysterious, which adds greatly to the interest.

What a terrific mashup of great building lines! The balconies and windows are just "generic" enough, that your rotation doesn't create an immediate "this is wrong" kind of feeling for the buildings... it makes a great little visual puzzle, and fantastic geometry presentation!
