Thanks so much Lori and Dottie. Lori to create the halo... File/Open/New transparent backgound (all in Photoshop) I used the circular marquee tool and created an oval and filled it with the yellow then I created another oval inside the oval and hit Backspace, making the middle transparent. Then went into Blending Modes and played with Bevel to make it seem more real. Also creaded the blur around the halo via Drop Shadow. Then drug it on top of Looie's head and resized with with Free Transform and also Transform/Skew. Hope this helps.
